If you have installed your driver from a standalone installer, it is recommend you to <strong><i>Remove Driver Package&#8230;<\/i><\/strong><i> <\/i>. If you have simply selected the driver from a list offered by Windows when installing the printer, it is recommend you to <strong><i>Delete<\/i><\/strong> it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mikemartinezonline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/clip_image008.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"clip_image008\" style=\"border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"clip_image008\" src=\"https:\/\/mikemartinezonline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/clip_image008_thumb.png\" width=\"466\" height=\"131\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you are trying to remove the driver without removing the printer beforehand, or the driver is used also by another printer than the one you removed, the system won&#8217;t allow you to remove the driver.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mikemartinezonline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/clip_image010.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"clip_image010\" style=\"border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"clip_image010\" src=\"https:\/\/mikemartinezonline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/clip_image010_thumb.jpg\" width=\"444\" height=\"416\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you resolved the previous problem or you haven&#8217;t encountered it, system will show you which packages and drivers will be deleted.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mikemartinezonline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/clip_image012.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"clip_image012\" style=\"border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"clip_image012\" src=\"https:\/\/mikemartinezonline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/clip_image012_thumb.jpg\" width=\"446\" height=\"418\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After you click on the button <strong><i>Delete<\/i><\/strong>, the packages and drivers will be erased from the system. By clicking on the button <strong><i>OK<\/i><\/strong> on the summary window, the process of removing drivers will be finished.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mikemartinezonline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/clip_image014.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"clip_image014\" style=\"border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"clip_image014\" src=\"https:\/\/mikemartinezonline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/clip_image014_thumb.jpg\" width=\"459\" height=\"431\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you removed all drivers you wanted, close the <em><b>Print management<\/b><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Remove Network Printers from Windows via Registry Editor<\/p>\n<p><b>Step 1:<\/b> Click on Start, Run and then type in <b>regedit<\/b> and press Enter. This will open the registry editor.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/11986-presscdn-0-77.pagely.netdna-cdn.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/09\/regedit2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"clip_image016\" style=\"border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"clip_image016\" src=\"https:\/\/mikemartinezonline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/clip_image016.png\" width=\"352\" height=\"190\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>Step 2:<\/b> Navigate to the following key in the registry:<\/p>\n<p><b><i>HKEY_CURRENT_USER \u2013 Printers \u2013 Connections<\/i><\/b><i><\/i><\/p>\n<p>Here you should now see a list of all network printers with the server name first, then a comma, and then the name of the actual printer.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/11986-presscdn-0-77.pagely.netdna-cdn.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/09\/removeprinterfromregistry.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"clip_image018\" style=\"border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"clip_image018\" src=\"https:\/\/mikemartinezonline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/clip_image018.png\" width=\"410\" height=\"381\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Go ahead and click on the printer in the left menu and press the <b>Delete<\/b> button or right-click and choose Delete. Unfortunately, that\u2019s not all! You also have to delete the printer from one more location in the registry:<\/p>\n<p><b><i>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \u2013 SYSTEM \u2013 CurrentControlSet \u2013 Control \u2013 Print \u2013 Providers \u2013 LanMan Print Services \u2013 Servers \u2013 Printers<\/i><\/b><i><\/i><\/p>\n<p>Now under the <b>servers<\/b> key, you should be able to expand it and see the name of the print server that actually hosts the printer you want to delete. Go ahead and expand the print server key and delete the printer from the list.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/11986-presscdn-0-77.pagely.netdna-cdn.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/09\/cannotdeleteprinter.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"clip_image020\" style=\"border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"clip_image020\" src=\"https:\/\/mikemartinezonline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/clip_image020.png\" width=\"435\" height=\"408\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now close the registry editor and reboot your computer. The undeletable network printer should now be gone! Note that the method above is just for network printers.
