{"id":1464,"date":"2018-11-26T15:19:51","date_gmt":"2018-11-26T19:19:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mikemartinezonline.com\/blog\/?p=1464"},"modified":"2018-11-26T15:19:51","modified_gmt":"2018-11-26T19:19:51","slug":"office-365-installation-tips-and-scripts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mikemartinezonline.com\/blog\/2018\/11\/26\/office-365-installation-tips-and-scripts\/","title":{"rendered":"Office 365 installation tips and scripts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hi all, if your like my self and many of my customers you\u2019ve had issues moving from on premises Office installations \u2013 that use a MAK or KMS keys.<\/p>\n<p>Seems when you think you\u2019ve removed previous Office versions, and then login to Office365 and download then install the O365 installation you run into errors stating you still have previous versions of Office installed.<\/p>\n<p>The solution is to FIRST completely remove ANY previous Office installations.<\/p>\n<p>If you just use the \u2018Program and Features\u2019 control panel applet you are likely to still have remnants left.<\/p>\n<p>To resolve this you can run the appropriate script s below and choose \u2018ALL\u2019 or whatever you feel is good enough.<\/p>\n<p>[note: I have added the extension \u2018.txt\u2019 to these vbscript files.
