I mentioned that I use a Newsreader and sift through the \u2018noise\u2019 there easier than hitting dozens and dozens of sites and getting squirreled on tangents.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a quick run through of what I use and how.<\/p>\n<p>My go to newsreader is QuiteRSS<\/p>\n<p>Get QuiteRSS reader <a href=\"https:\/\/quiterss.org\/en\/download\">here<\/a>. I regularly export my OPML file after adding new feeds, and backup\/copy it to the cloud so that I may have it to use on my phone or other device I happened to load the portable reader on.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mikemartinezonline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/clip_image012.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"357\" height=\"226\" title=\"clip_image012\" style=\"display: inline; background-image: none;\" alt=\"clip_image012\" src=\"https:\/\/mikemartinezonline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/clip_image012_thumb.jpg\" border=\"0\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Easily add feeds for sites; example of adding HowToGeek site:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mikemartinezonline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/clip_image014.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"362\" height=\"214\" title=\"clip_image014\" style=\"display: inline; background-image: none;\" alt=\"clip_image014\" src=\"https:\/\/mikemartinezonline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/clip_image014_thumb.jpg\" border=\"0\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Go up to feed icon and click and or copy that link. Open QuiteRSS and use the dropdown and add new Feed:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mikemartinezonline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/clip_image018.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"270\" height=\"199\" title=\"clip_image018\" style=\"display: inline; background-image: none;\" alt=\"clip_image018\" src=\"https:\/\/mikemartinezonline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/clip_image018_thumb.jpg\" border=\"0\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It should automatically find the copied item on your clip board<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mikemartinezonline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/clip_image020.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"321\" height=\"303\" title=\"clip_image020\" style=\"display: inline; background-image: none;\" alt=\"clip_image020\" src=\"https:\/\/mikemartinezonline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/clip_image020_thumb.jpg\" border=\"0\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Next and finish<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mikemartinezonline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/clip_image022.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"325\" height=\"300\" title=\"clip_image022\" style=\"display: inline; background-image: none;\" alt=\"clip_image022\" src=\"https:\/\/mikemartinezonline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/clip_image022_thumb.jpg\" border=\"0\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>Now some real fun<\/b><\/p>\n<p>You can export all your YouTube Subscriptions and import them into your Feed Reader \u2013 QuiteRSS.<\/p>\n<p>Go to the YouTube subscription manager page:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/subscription_manager\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/subscription_manager<\/a><\/p>\n<p>At the very bottom you\u2019ll see the button to \u2018Export subscription\u2019<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mikemartinezonline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/clip_image024.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"362\" height=\"29\" title=\"clip_image024\" style=\"display: inline; background-image: none;\" alt=\"clip_image024\" src=\"https:\/\/mikemartinezonline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/clip_image024_thumb.jpg\" border=\"0\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Click on it and save your subscriptions, I just called them YouTubeScriptions.<\/p>\n<p>This will export an XML file of all your subscriptions which can then be imported into the Feed Reader<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mikemartinezonline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/clip_image026.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"362\" height=\"123\" title=\"clip_image026\" style=\"display: inline; background-image: none;\" alt=\"clip_image026\" src=\"https:\/\/mikemartinezonline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/clip_image026_thumb.jpg\" border=\"0\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Then open QuiteRSS and go to File&gt;Import Feeds<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mikemartinezonline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/clip_image028.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"222\" height=\"244\" title=\"clip_image028\" style=\"margin: 0px; display: inline; background-image: none;\" alt=\"clip_image028\" src=\"https:\/\/mikemartinezonline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/clip_image028_thumb.jpg\" border=\"0\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Select the file and import your feeds<\/p>\n<p>Now your Reader will have all your YouTube feeds\/subscriptions too!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mikemartinezonline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/clip_image030.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"362\" height=\"92\" title=\"clip_image030\" style=\"display: inline; background-image: none;\" alt=\"clip_image030\" src=\"https:\/\/mikemartinezonline.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/clip_image030_thumb.jpg\" border=\"0\"><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I was talking with someone about how I try and keep some of all the information that is out here in a useable, readable fashion that I can access quickly.
