{"id":34,"date":"2010-01-04T19:53:00","date_gmt":"2010-01-04T19:53:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mikemartinezonline.com\/blog\/?p=34"},"modified":"2010-01-04T19:53:00","modified_gmt":"2010-01-04T19:53:00","slug":"windows-7-god-mode","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mikemartinezonline.com\/blog\/2010\/01\/04\/windows-7-god-mode\/","title":{"rendered":"Windows 7 &#8216;God Mode&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is a <em>really<\/em> cool hack.<br \/>It seems to work in <strong>all<\/strong> versions of Windows 7.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;GodMode&#8221; feature lets users access all of the operating system&#8217;s control panels from within a single folder.<\/p>\n<p>By creating a new folder in Windows 7 and renaming it with a certain text string at the end, users are able to have a single place to do everything from changing the look of the mouse pointer to making a new hard-drive partition.<\/p>\n<p>To enter &#8220;GodMode,&#8221; one need only create a new folder (anywhere, but desktop makes most sense) and then rename the folder to the following [for assured results copy this &#8211; from the &#8216;G&#8217; to the last&#8217;}&#8217; ]:<\/p>\n<p>GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}<\/p>\n<p>Once that is done, the folder&#8217;s icon will change to resemble a control panel and will contain dozens of control options.
